National Park – Una River

Legend has it that the ancient Romans, who had lost their sense of beauty through many conquests, came to the banks of the Una River and were amazed by the beauty they had never seen anywhere else.

One of those Romans shouted, “Una!” (one/the only one). With one exclamation, he expressed all the beauty of this river, which cannot be found anywhere else. That’s how, they say, this river got its name, which it has kept to this day.

Preserving and protecting these values for future generations is a fundamental determinant of the sustainability of traditional activities.
